Business Central & NAV / Rescue & optimization
Get your Business Central project or integration back on track.
Business Central may be live, but that does not mean the business is getting what it needs. We investigate failed integrations, unreliable processes, posting and reconciliation problems, and customizations that have become difficult to maintain. The first step is to understand the cause and define a practical corrective scope.
Recognizable symptoms
Does any of this look familiar?
Transactions fail between systems
Orders, invoices, or payments stop partway and someone has to notice.
Staff rekey information
Data exists in one system and is typed again into BC because the connection never quite worked.
Repeated errors with no resolution path
The same error appears every week and nobody owns fixing it.
Data arrives but the result is wrong
The record posts, yet the dimensions, costs, or balances don't match what the business expected.
Work stalled between vendors
An integration or customization sits between two parties, each pointing at the other.
Workarounds consuming staff time
The system is live, and the team spends hours a week compensating for it.
Two different problems
Rescue is not the same as optimization.
Rescue
A broken or stalled function: an integration that fails, a posting that won't reconcile, a go-live that didn't land. The goal is to restore a working process.
Optimization
A process that works but costs too much effort: manual steps, slow closes, fragile customizations. The goal is to make a working process efficient and maintainable.
Neither automatically implies replacing the ERP or the existing partner.
Starting point
Start with a scoped assessment, not a remediation project.
Before committing to a large remediation project, establish what is wrong, what is worth fixing, and what the corrective work involves. Where the facts support a targeted repair, that may be more appropriate than starting over.
The assessment establishes findings, remaining uncertainties, priorities, dependencies, and recommended corrective work. A brief introductory conversation is where we decide whether an assessment makes sense; the investigation itself is scoped work.
How it runs
From symptom to corrected process
Understand the symptoms and systems
What is failing, how often, who is affected, and what has already been tried.
Assess
Findings, remaining uncertainties, priorities, dependencies, and recommended corrective work.
Agree the corrective scope
What gets fixed, in what order, and what is deliberately left alone.
Fix, test, and verify the business result
The check is the correct transaction in BC, not the absence of an error message.
Document and hand over
What changed, why, and how it is monitored and maintained going forward.
Questions
Common questions.
Does this mean replacing our partner or our ERP?+
No. Rescue and optimization address a specific broken or inefficient function. Whether the wider relationship or platform changes is a separate decision, and often it doesn't need to.
Can you just tell us what's wrong on a call?+
An introductory conversation establishes whether an assessment makes sense and roughly where to look. The investigation itself — reading the configuration, code, and data — is scoped work.
Is this emergency support?+
No. Integrated IT doesn't run an always-on support desk. Rescue work is scheduled and scoped like any other engagement, with the urgency reflected in how the scope is agreed.
Will you fix everything you find?+
The assessment tells you what is worth fixing. Some issues justify correction; others are better documented and left alone. That distinction is part of the value.
